Welcome to WikiSenate.ca: the open, non-partisan, truly democratic place for people to collaborate on the laws that govern Canada.
Members of WikiSenate.ca can vote by secret ballot on bills currently before the Canadian House of Commons and the Senate of Canada. The vote has no legal authority, but the more members who vote, the more moral authority it has. And more importantly, the more likely it is to be a better decision than our politicians can make.
Anyone can become a member of WikiSenate.ca. You don't have to be a Canadian or even a resident. You just have to care.
At WikiSenate.ca, you get jargon-free, non-partisan, no BS descriptions of the bills currently before the Parliament of Canada. (How?) You will understand why the bill has been proposed, and how it will affect you and everyone else. WikiSenate.ca members can participate in discussions about the bill, and can cast their vote on these bills just as the politicians do.
Even better, members of WikiSenate.ca can introduce their own bills and amendments, develop them in collaboration with other members, and put them to a vote. (How?)
You don't have to be a member to view the pages on WikiSenate.ca, but you do have to register if you want to introduce bills, propose amendments, contribute information, and vote on the bills.
